Academic

Currently students are able to choose four subjects from the table below, typically reducing to three in the Upper Sixth. The vast majority of subject combinations are possible, indeed the timetable is built around the choices of our students and not the other way round. In addition our students also have the opportunity to study an Extended Project Qualification.

Table of subjects:

Art Biology  Business Chemistry
Classical Civilisation  Computer Science Design Technology  (Product Design) Drama and Theatre Studies
Economics English Language English Literature  Food Technology
French Further Mathematics Geography German
History ICT Latin Law
Mathematics Music Physical Education Psychology
Physics Religious Studies Spanish

To broaden our students’ knowledge and to help them to prepare for undergraduate study we also offer a curriculum enrichment programme in both the Lower and Upper Sixth. This includes the opportunity to take an Extended Project Qualification, which equates to an AS Level. This valuable qualification allows the detailed study of any chosen topic through the independent research skills which are so highly valued by universities. Further curriculum enrichment is provided for all students through a wide range of Extended Studies and varied opportunities of educational trips.
