First Day of Term
Thursday 3rd September, 2009.
We hope that all our pupils are looking forward to the first day of term on Thursday 3rd September. Starting times will be as normal.
Swallows Starting Times
Nursery 9.00 a.m.; Reception and Year One 8.50 a.m.; Years Two and Three 8.40 a.m.
Breakfast is available from 7.45 a.m. Staff will supervise the Reception and Year One playground from 8.15 a.m. and the Years 2 and 3 playground from 8.00 a.m.
Hales Starting Time
Years 4 - 6 must be in school by 8.40 a.m. Breakfast is available from 7.45 a.m. in the Dining Room. Staff will be on duty in the playground from 8.00 a.m.
Traffic and Parking
We anticipate that there will be more traffic than usual (as is always the case with many new children starting) and we urge parents of children in Years 1 - 3, going to Swallows, to arrive earlier than usual and to park in Davenport Road or at The Memorial Park. This will mean a short walk but will free up The Firs for parents of children in Nursrey and Reception who need to park and come into school with their children. At Hales, please remember that the Crescent closes at 8.15 a.m. and only serves as a drop off point, not for parking. Parents who wish to park on the first day and escort their children into Hales are best to leave their cars at the Central Six car park.
After-school care
As usual, both sites will provide after-school care until 6.00 p.m. Clubs will not begin until Wednesday 9th September but there will be more staff available to care for children who need after school care until this date is reached.
