Liz Ochieng joined the teaching staff of King Henry VIII Preparatory School in January 2010. She qualified through Leeds University
in 1981.
After qualifying, Liz worked for a few years in Blackpool before
setting out to teach first in Kenya as a Primary teacher in an
International School and then in Brunei teaching English as a Foreign
Language. She then returned to England to teach in one of the
Preparatory Schools in Sherborne before returning to Kenya where
she
stayed for several more years teaching Key Stage 1.
She has had many years experience working in the Primary sector
of
both independent and state schools teaching classes from Reception
to
Year 5.
In 2003 she returned to England with her family and for most of
the
time since then she has been teaching Year 1 at The Russell School
in
Richmond upon Thames.
Liz enjoys music, walking, tennis and charity work. She is currently
supporting a charity she and her husband started in Kenya.
