After qualifying from St Gabriel’s Teacher Training College in London, Jacqueline Garland taught in secondary schools in London and in Essex.

Mrs. Garland moved to the Midlands and after the birth of her daughter she taught as a specialist French teacher in middle schools in Warwickshire.

She taught French at King Henry VIII Junior School for eleven years and this involved the setting up and running of the annual visit to Le Fousseau in France.

Mrs. Garland has also played an active part in the Paris music trip and takes groups of pupils to Malvern School for their annual languages day. She has also run a sign languages club and she enjoys supporting colleagues in all aspects of school life.
