Mrs. Lesley McKenzie joined the staff of King Henry VIII Preparatory School in September 2010.

She qualified in 1980 and taught in private and state schools in Dorset and Warwickshire before Home Educating her two children through the primary stage.

Since returning to teaching in 2000, Mrs. McKenzie has taught in Key Stage One and the Foundation Stage in several Warwickshire schools. She has been Foundation Stage co-ordinator and has supported students and newly-qualified teachers. She is passionate about Forest School and in 2005 she gained Forest School leader status.

When not at school, Mrs. McKenzie enjoys reading, patchwork, walking with her husband and visiting her children who are studying in Cardiff.
