After gaining a BSc (Hons) in Political Science and
a PGCE at the University of Birmingham, Neil Mosedale took up his
first teaching post in September 1997.
At Bromford Junior School he had responsibility for a Year 5 form
group and for co-ordinating the History Department. He also developed
the school’s provision in a number of extra-curricular activities,
notably football and cricket.
In 1999 he became a Staffing and Recruitment Co-ordinator with
Educational Support Services, a privatised company which was formerly
part of Liverpool LEA’s supply service. In this role he was
responsible for the recruitment of teachers into positions throughout
the East Midlands area and for the interviewing and vetting of
suitable candidates. He was also responsible for developing links
with LEA recruitment and retention strategy managers throughout
the East Midlands.
During July of 2002 he travelled to Australia where he obtained
a position with Education Queensland, working as a Special Needs
teacher in two mainstream Junior Schools.
In January 2004 he accepted a position as teacher of Games, Mathematics
and P.E. at Coventry Preparatory School.
During his spare time he enjoys participating in a number of sporting
activities and has played football, squash and cricket at a representative
level.
